Pleats & Noirs

Shilla 'Shade' Pleat Dress, Pulp booties, Miu Miu Noir sunglasses thanks to Sunglasshut

So whoop for my Miu Miu Noir's, which make me feel particularly fancy - any time of day or night. And though my boyfriend's slightly raised eyebrow as I tried them on, being the last pair in Australia until they are officially released in February next year - I couldn't help myself. All thanks to Sunglass Hut and their totally amazing Floating Pop up Store earlier this month.

This dress, on another note, is like a perfect piece of considerably put together magic on a hanger. It's just one of those things you throw on and it falls / sits to perfection, without any required effort. We love. Sweet summer dresses with a bit of edge this season spell Shilla, and it's only a click away in their E-Boutique.

Oh and shhhh... they have an awesome Summer Sale coming up next week.

A Breo Summer!

BREO Summer Collection 2011 - Shop it here

Ah. Summer is HERE! I want to romp around in a tan, a summer dress and bright colours! Breo got it right this season with this awesome collection of duo-coloured sunnies and flip-flops. (I'm sorry, even after being in Australia over 6 years I just can't call them "thongs"... that's just wrong...)

The footwear is made out of raw natural latex, is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. (Wihoo!) Available in 11 colours. I am very picky when it comes to flip-flops. Most of them give me blisters and I went all of last summer without a pair. So when these little babies arrived at my door, I have to say that I was sceptic. But they are insanely comfortable, and no blisters! Happy face.

When it comes to the sunnies, these are perfectly priced at $39.95 and come in a range of crazy colours and shapes to suit every face (even mine). My favourites are the Wayfarer -style ones, with duo colours. My man already nicked my pair of the black / orange combo - if you like a discreet yet statement shade, you can't go wrong with these. Also quite a cool Christmas gift idea.

All of this Breo goodness will be available in store from the end of November. In the mean time, join the Breo Facebook page or shop online at www.breo.com

POSSO x VOLCOM

Posso x Volcom

So we already knew VOLCOM were cool. Brace yourselves, they've just stepped it up a notch.

Summer and all it's wonder, the sunshine, the freedom, the never ending nights and mysterious mornings. VOLCOM have teamed up with the über hot DJ Duo POSSOto bottle all of this in creating this magical range just in time for Summer. Think romantic Gypsy meets cheeky Hippie - with a sense of carelessness and being free.

The duo of Vanessa Giovacchini and Marylouise Pels bring their love for music, fashion, art and poetry together to make this beautiful mess of must-have summer pieces.

“This collection is not about trends, it’s about a lifestyle… Each style is truly inspired by our imaginings of a new breed of traveling gypsies, just like us. “ -‐-‐ POSSO

The range hits stores this week, choose your favourites on VOLCOM's website or in store. Better yet, the POSSO girls blog (here) on Volcom's site. And let's face it, you can't look past a duo who's just DJ at a Miu Miu event in New York City.

Sizzle.

Peas

Meet my little love, Peas, who is new to the world being only 6 weeks old. She is going to be keeping my little man Shanks company, for when we go away I'm fearing he may get a little bit lonely. The most gorgeous little creature, she fits in my one hand. And eats like there is no tomorrow.

M A K E B E L I E V E

Sportsgirl are currently celebrating all things dreams and fantasy right now with their latest campaign being titled 'BELIEVE'. It's all about following your dreams and most of all believing in them. Sportsgirl have asked me to participate in this new initiative, so here's some fun questions and answers about myself:

1. As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

A vet. And I was never going to let any animals die, EVER.

2. Did you make this dream come true or change your mind?

My passion for being creative was always with me, even when I began medical studies. Luckily, I realised that this passion was only ever going to grow stronger soon enough for me to change my major subjects in high school. Even though I still think about what it would have been like to be a vet, I believe everything happens for a reason.

3. What is your favourite childhood memory?

Riding Ebony (my horse) through the snow with my best friend Louise and her horse Emilia. Those winters were so freezing, yet so magical.

4. The biggest dream you have right now?

Just to be completely happy and at ease with myself. No need to get get in to the soppy sad bits about this story, I have come a long way and I know that, but I also know that there is still that little bit to go. But I can do it. CONFIDENCE :)

5. Your summer must-have pick from the current Sportsgirl range?

So being a Sportsgirl -girl since I came to Australia 6 years ago, I have to admit I am a sucker. I can't walk past a Sportsgirl and not walk in. The new summer ranger is the best I have seen so far (yet I say that every time a new season is released.. humm...) Absolutely dyiiiing for the "Diva Dress" in gold sequin - can imagine this with a tan after a day at the beach. Feathers, tribal prints and brights will always go with me this summer, which there is a-plenty. Also my heart kind of skipped a beat when I saw the "Hessian French Fry Tote"...

I'm tagging three bloggers to answer the same questions - so get your game on ladies.

#SGHFloat

Sunglass Hut's opening night for their floating Pop-Up Store 2011

Well, well.

Last night was a bit of a fun one, hopping a board the one and ONLY floating Sunglass Hut store in the world! We were pampered by an amazing venue filled with palms, sand and boys in boardies, and of course the best part - the sunglasses. Later in the evening we were all serenaded by none other than Jason Mraz himself (rocking a pair of Ray-Ban's), who is seriously just out-of-this-world cool, and damn can the man sing live. Damn.

For a limited time the floating Sunglass Hut store will be open to the public to come and have a perve on these amazing eye-wears. Sunglass Hut's best sellers will be available for purchase, as well as a special 150 styles that will NOT be available for purchase anywhere else in Australia until next year. Get with the cool kids right this instant and head to Sunglass Hut's Inner Circle Website for the full story.

Thank you guys for a wicked start to this Summer. Be sure to check out the Sunglass Hut's floating stores, in Manly or Darling Harbour for three days only. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one, even if it's just to try (promise... err...) on those Miu Miu's... siiiigh
