BIRTHDAY GIRL

Best birthday. Ever!

IN THE SNOW

My baby surprised me with a trip to Hotham, Melbourne for my birthday. Best ever. I love it here, I am with awesome people and I even get to go skiing! Yesterday we were out on the slopes all day, and then spent the evening in front of the fire with glasses of red wine. I love this.

THE DOUBLE D

Jess Hart with the double denim. Oh how I want summer to hurry it's hot arse up and get here...

STARS & STRIPES

I found the quilt cover set of my dreams on the weekend. A little Americano- stars and stripes all around. I could make love to it. Here is a little sneak preview. We both believe they actually make us sleep better. Haha.

So I don't know if you've heard, but it's my birthday on Saturday. And I don't know if you've heard that I am being KIDNAPPED. I even had to ask two days off work so my man can take me away to a place unknown. All he has given me is a place and time to be tomorrow, with the car, with our bag. We will be gone until Sunday. And I will be told what to pack tonight. Yep you guessed it, I am dying with excitement.

TEXAS RANGER

LOVE this. Erin Wasson by David Mushegain. I have never really been a massive fan but these images are fabulous. She suits the look, naturally. And well yep, those Dolce & Gabbana booties almost make me slightly light-hearted and faint...

MARKETS

I love the Bondi Markets. We managed to walk through them again this weekend. I didn't buy anything. OK I bought something. A small cardholder cause my wallet is exploding slowly due to the overflow... Naughty.

KERRBLOOM!

Chanel 9 'exclusively' revealed Miranda Kerr's personal message this morning - straight from the U.S. Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are married. Yup, the two hottest people on this planet are offically taken, off the market. I say this is a day of sorrow for the rest of us, but congratualtions to them. I think they are absolutely beautiful together. I hope they look after one another and live happily ever after ♥

SWEDISH SUMMER

Oh how I miss thee. I can never look in Australia for up and coming fahsion and style. There are some great fashion lines and designers here but they are always a step behind. I can't wait to go back home and GET INSPIRED. Sigh at this loose fit piece from Acne. Sigh. And let's not even mention the Balenciaga bag...

NOT A MORNING... DOG

Haha. This is totally how I felt (trying) to get up this morning...

ALMOST HERE

shirt: SUPRÉ, jeans: tattoo, jewellery: bondi markets

Good morning beautiful people. I can gladly say that I'm feeling much better today. Not at 100% yet, but definately getting there. I've had a mild skin allergy since about two years ago, and yesterday was a nightmare. So when I (finally) got home from work yesterday I had a loooong hot shower, scrubbed and then drenched myself in body lotion and allergy creams, and popped claratyne. My man also made me a vegetable and chicken soup (divine) and cuddled me in the couch. All which seems to have done the trick. I've decided to try harder with skin cleaning routines, eating better and drinking HEAPS of water. I believe beauty comes first and foremost from treating your body right, and not getting enough sleep, eating bad foods and not exercising is not going to leave you feeling & looking fresh. That's just the way it is I guess.

I found the hand of Fatima pendant (left) at the Bondi markets last weekend. I have been looking for one for a while. This girl made all her things by hand and everything was 100% "Bali" silver (which means that I can wear it without breaking out...!) so I couldn't resist. I am not a religious person, and I don't believe in God. I don't look down on people who do, but I just don't believe in THE God. However, I am baptised and if I were to get married i would probably do it in a church... Saying that I don't call myself religious, but I believe in something. This palm shaped amulet is worn in North Afrca and the Middle East, and is originally called Khamsa (Arabic), and is believed to be a defense against all evil. The Khamsa has long represented blessings, power and strength and is thus seen as potent in deflecting the evil eye.

I find it interesting. And I think it's quite beautiful. I hope it will help me fight off any evil ;) xo

WINTER NIGHTS

crop top: SUPRÉ, jeans: gina tricot, bowler's hat: sportsgirl, boots: betts

Nothing like bringing Shanks-man inside when I finally get home after a long day. It's cold outside and he curls up in his basket and muches leaves. He's rauncho relaxo. He's soft and he's cuddly. I think we're both over Winter by now. All the summer styles are starting to come in at work too, which does nothing but make the loning stronger. But what an awesome weekend it was. Got to spend hours outside in the sun's rays, which I find so energising. I have just finished off my Monday at the office and am about to go home and watch Remember Me, with Robert Pattinson and Emelie de Ravin. I haven't seen a great love story since the Notebook. Hopefully this will at least give that a run for it's money xo

This post is reminding me to remind you: look after your pets. It's so devestating to hear stories of people getting sick of or abandonning something they once took home. Think twice before you bring a little life home...

PHILOSOPHY

Everything was beautiful and nothing hurt.

Positivity. This is a quote that I try to live my life by. I stumbled upon it a few years ago, I don't know who said or wrote it but I am a firm believer in positivity. Almost all of us have been through, are going through, or are about to go through a tough time. But I believe that it's up to each and every one to make the best of their own situation. For some it's harder than for others. But the reward and joy comes from trying to make the best of what you have. Always. Never look back and regret, but learn and grow. Grow fast and grow tall, don't repeat your wrongs, and keep getting better for your every rights.

If i was brave enough to get a tattoo I would. But this will do for now. Hope you all braced your Mondays xo

WHEN IN AFRICA

When I move to Africa I'm going to dress like this everyday.

SUMMER FEELIN'

I love Sundays. Just enjoyed an awesome breakkie at our secret little café in Homebush, topped it off with an extra espresso and sparkling H2O. Grabbed our sunnies and camera and are now in the car heading out to Bondi. The sun is shining and it feels like spring. I feel great and so lucky to be in the best company I know. It feels a change is coming, and it's coming with good news. I'm excited. And smiling all the time. I hope you all are having a beautiful Sunday. xo
