Debuting at MBFWA this year was none other than Dylan Copper, so set out in a display of graphic prints and structured pieces that were up for display at The Box. The 21-year old winner of Project Runway 2011 has obviously not wasted any time since the show, putting up an impressive collection featuring on-trend pieces with high wearability factor.
I fell for a pair of pants with a printed stripe. Perfect with double gold cuffs, a plain white tee and black Alexander Wang's. Yum.
Fashion Week began with a bang in a full house set for Camilla. Signature kaftans of course a given on a menu, this year we saw an array of colours, tribal inspired hair, hats and bags, as well as beaded skirts and dresses with a gypsy-luxue touch. With snake-skin, paisley, pom-poms, florals, bells, beads and tassels all on offer, the whole show came together in a beautiful line of eye-catching looks that all required a second (or third...) look.
Here is a little peek of what went down at Fashion Palette 2012. Personal favourites involved My Wild Love and Arthur Galan, of which I've got a few pictures to share with you as well.
As of the rest of me - I'm about to begin a crazy week at Fashion Week, so be sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook to get live updates from the madness.
Late last week I had the pleasure of stopping by the Shopbop showroom thanks to the pretty ladies at Torstar - only to fall head over heels over beautiful clutches, must-have heels and an array head-turner. Shopbop has always fascinated me, there is never a shortage of lust-worthy items and spot on-trend editorials that change the "I would love those leather pants"- attidude to the desperate "I NEED those leather pants" mind set.
With neons of all colours of the rainbow, some of these pieces are just things that you must have in your wardrobe. With this Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac Bag - what else could you possibly need with a get up of a tee from T by Alexander Wang, and these black skinnies from Acne.
I can't tell you much more other than that I am very excited to have been a part of this project which is launching within the next few weeks - facebook.com/hairmeetwardrobe
Pre-Fashion Week is always so nerve-wrecking. If I could I would wear these jeans all week - every day. Columbine makes it all look so easy - having rocked these pairs throughout winter. So awesome, simple and totally fail-safe. From Acne.
My beautiful Mum sent me the latest issue of Style By last week, which had an awesome cover story on killer denim. Jeans are seriously under rated, and I need to start appreciating them more. I do love a good pair, but always seem to have trouble dressing them up. But it really is that easy - Jeans. High heels. Blazer.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure (again) to work with the fun team at Lola vs. Harper, shooting their Summer 2012 campaign. Shot by none other that Akila Berjaoui(who also shot me for the Pedestrian TV x Myer Miss Shop Blogger Project), with the stunning face of Aby @ Chic Model Magagement.
Dreamy lace, cool cut-outs, rockin' coloured denim (I need a pair of those pop-lemon legs - yum), wonder-stripes and playful sheer shirts - it might not be too early to start planning for the season ahead... I know I am.
1. An awesome (cheap) denim jacket 2. Two pair brushes (one thick one thin) 3. Fabric paint (TIP: Spotlight have lots of this at a decent price) 4. Permanent marker 5. An iron & ironing board 6. Patience
