Day Five.

seed sequined shorts, seed top, zara leather jacket, siren heels, ray-ban sunnies

Last day of Fashion Week - and what a day it was. I felt honoured to have Margaret take these shots, being the busy little bee that she is I felt grateful for her taking time out of her day to help out. She's seriously da bomb.

The stress that this week brings does not even compare to that of any exam, presentation or deadline. With all eyes on you, and the pressure of actually getting things done, I felt very much at home in these Seed shorts - lined in a basic grey jersey they felt a bit like trackies to wear, but looked every part the other.

Akira @ MBFWA 2012

Trying to keep up with all the sharing of the showcases and events of Fashion Week
- so better late than never I present to you : Akira.

Akira was a static show in The Box - which I to be honest didn't think was the best idea of MBFWA, yet this somehow suited these eyrie and quietly beautiful pieces.

Ash to Gold @ MBFWA 2012

A show that caught my eye in the 'New Generation' group was Ash to Gold. You may remember that I posted their latest lookbook a few weeks back, so I was highly anticipating seeing them at Fashion Week this year, and I must say I was not disappointed. Structure, colour and shape was key, and with accessories to boot like the Triangle Bag and those kick-arse Embroidered Platforms - I was left with a few new additions to my wish list.

The collection has just been made available on their site - here.

nANA jUDY @ MBFWA 12 + Backstage

The closing show at this year's MBFWA was that of a bang with nANA jUDY and their rockin' range, supported by the band Amy Meredith. This show was very much up my alley - fun, cheeky and bold and without a doubt got the whole crowd in the mood by putting on a show not to be forgotten. And hello. With the Stenmark twins walking for your label - there isn't much else to tick off the wish list. I was lucky enough to get access to backstage, which was a party on it's own with energy levels running high.

nANA jUDY are of course known for their kick-arse denim and menswear, but for us ladies this was a bit of a celebration as their very first ladies' range debuted this night - and let me tell you those black skinnies WILL find their way in to my wardrobe for Winter - high-waist skinny-cut perfection.

Michael Lo Sordo @ MBFWA 12

Michael Lo Sordo showcased nothing short of all class at MBFWA - as you saw a sneak peek of backstage his designs, styles, shapes and form is all modern, classic and timeless. The show was set in a cleared out restaurant, raw with exposed concrete walls and cold stone floor - all which tied in nicely with stunning collection. We saw a range of graphic prints (much love for the pink on white) and an array of dresses with unique detailing and curious splits.

There was not one piece in this collection that I wouldn't wear, every model turned heads that were busy thinking how they could apply that to everyday wear - something I know I'd easily and very happily do. Michael's talent and eye for that perfect it-piece is one to trust, I'll happily place myself in his hands for my next purchase. ...and PS - how amazing are those shoes. They're exclusively designed by Michael for Peep Toe. Delish.
