want to wear.

blouse - Chalayan, heels - ZARA, mix metal by Adia Kibur, "Replica" by Maison Martin Margielas, Helmut Lang leathers, Bijoux stars scarf, Thyme for Ginger satchel

I always tend to lean towards pale hues and slates in Winter. And yet I tell everyone to opt for colour to brighten the otherwise gloomy season. I'm not really sure why this is, I guess a safe bet is always the softer colour-wheel, and being a sucker for the basics 'd rather splurge on some amazing detailing such as a bag like this or a ring set that I can otherwise use everyday.

Favourite staple piece in Winter? Do tell.

Elwood 'Ceremonials' Knit, Betts boots, Samantha Wills ring, Spell 'Bone & Tassle' bag

Another chilly day in Sydney town, it's never easy to figure out how to wear something awesome and stay warm at the same time... but this knit is definitely doing the trick. I should perhaps consider wearing something else tomorrow, as it's been on high rotation in my wardrobe the past three days.

How gorgeous is this ring? I couldn't help but put it on as soon as I came back form the Samantha Wills showing yesterday, it really speaks for itself - with a rose gold band and a big solid black stone. Beautiful.

'wanderlust' collection by Samantha Wills

Yesterday I was invited to meet the ladies at the Samantha Wills HQ, and to have a bit of a peek at their new collection 'Wanderlust'. Besides being one of the coolest head offices I have seen- the carefully crafted, beautifully detailed pieces of treasure so intricately placed on the table made this a morning to remember.

Wanderlust is a celebration of Samantha's own philosophy that there are no rules in wearing jewellery - do what feels right and wear what you want - when you want to. Speaking the same language, this really appeals to me as I tend to go with staple jewellery pieces that I love, stacking on generously no matter if the occasion suits or not. Here we saw a mixture of carefully crafted fine earrings and bracelets in golds and silvers, accented in turquoise and rose. And those statement necklaces really do deserve a class of their own - wearing this completes any simple outfit.

You'll be able to get your hands on these treasures in July, so no need to start hair pulling. I'm going to be stacking on the beaded beauties together with a coin necklace, and of course lots and LOTS of turquoise - heaven.

My Own

Getting away from the city is what keeps me sane, and as you can probably see as of late that's what's been needed in my life. We have friends who have a stunning guest house in Buladelah, close to Newcastle, which will be open for business in the coming months. The tranquility and peacefulness of this space is beyond.

CÉLINE RESORT '13

Céline Resort 2013

Combining navy, white and a mean leopard print, Phoebe Philo somehow manages to keep the simplicity, sophistication and 'Céline-ness' in this year's Resort collection, bringing back the all too familiar silhouettes, fabrics and colours we all know and love Céline for. I feel like Phoebe's lived the philosophy 'If it works, why change it?' throughout this collection, and we see the signature print, the white and orange combination and THAT leather making a come back.

I'm not complaining.

As you know I am a sucker for basics and investment pieces, something Phoebe and Céline always manage to bring to a whole other level.

Wildfox Sun Summer 2012 “Stare At The Sun”

We already know that the Wildfox girls can do no wrong, but do they seriously have to keep producing campaigns that just make you want? Want everything. And want it NOW.

Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles-based womens brand Wildfox Couture launches its premiere Wildfox Sun sunglass collection for Summer 2012. The range was designed and developed by eyewear designer Benjamin Montoya of Benjamin Eyewear, who was inspired to create “A classic, well thought out collection heavily influenced and balanced with the palette and energy of Wildfox.”

The frames are handmade using a mixture of both acetate and metal, the acetate pieces comprise approximately 70% of the collection while metal and metal-acetate combination pieces make up the balance. The primary lens materials used vary from solid to gradient color options in grey, rose, and brown, while some are either traditional mirror or multi colored mirror coated.

tusk collective

A few weeks ago I was sent this breathtaking lookbook by tusk collective, who have just launched a small collection of EVERYTHING beautiful. If those boots don't do it for you, I'm sure those magical lanterns or the mesmerising headpiece will do the trick. I can't wait to see what these guys have lines up for the year ahead. You can see their range online at tuskcollective.com, or follow them on Facebook or Instagram @tuskcollective
