Summer, where art thou?

I'm sitting here on a freezing Thursday night putting together collages of all things sun, sand, skirts and sunnies, only to scrap them when I look up and realise the absolute down pour and the puny few degrees on the thermometer.

Not winning.

But, it's when I get sent little bits of hope like this video from Nookie - that I know that there are better times ahead. Expect a summer infused with Moroccan inspiration, cat-like silhouettes and gorgeous florals.
I want it all and I want it now.

For a change I wasn't behind the camera on our last road trip celebrating my man's big three-oh, as a professional in the group decided to take this matter in to his own hands and work his magic. I happily stepped aside and was left to ponder with my amateur video-making skills, I learnt a lot just from watching him.

Yes, we're a special bunch of people. But we have a lot of fun.

Backstage with Michael Lo Sordo

This day was crazy, beginning the morning with Michael Lo Sordo backstage. So many beautiful girls and stunning pieces - along with a super talented hair and make up team. If you look closely you might also spot Ruby Rose in the background getting ready for the show. Michael shows nothing but passion and dedication to his label, something that makes me respect him and admire him highly. Thanks to the team at Peep Toe and Michael for letting me share this morning with you behind the scenes.

nANA jUDY @ MBFWA 12 + Backstage

The closing show at this year's MBFWA was that of a bang with nANA jUDY and their rockin' range, supported by the band Amy Meredith. This show was very much up my alley - fun, cheeky and bold and without a doubt got the whole crowd in the mood by putting on a show not to be forgotten. And hello. With the Stenmark twins walking for your label - there isn't much else to tick off the wish list. I was lucky enough to get access to backstage, which was a party on it's own with energy levels running high.

nANA jUDY are of course known for their kick-arse denim and menswear, but for us ladies this was a bit of a celebration as their very first ladies' range debuted this night - and let me tell you those black skinnies WILL find their way in to my wardrobe for Winter - high-waist skinny-cut perfection.

Boohoo Who?

Last week we all gathered at Pink Salt in Double Bay to celebrate the official Australian launch of Boohoo - an online fashion portal updated daily with the latest must-have buys. With a very affordable price point, updating your wardrobe without feeling naughty is right at your finger tips. Since this awesome get-together I have myself spent a bit of time on boohoo.com - what's not to love when pieces like the Alexia Jacket and the Eloise Palazzo Trousers cost shy of $50?

Happy girl.

Pre-Fashion Week is always so nerve-wrecking. If I could I would wear these jeans all week - every day. Columbine makes it all look so easy - having rocked these pairs throughout winter. So awesome, simple and totally fail-safe. From Acne.



My beautiful Mum sent me the latest issue of Style By last week, which had an awesome cover story on killer denim. Jeans are seriously under rated, and I need to start appreciating them more. I do love a good pair, but always seem to have trouble dressing them up. But it really is that easy - Jeans. High heels. Blazer.

So right and so simple.

High Time

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure (again) to work with the fun team at Lola vs. Harper, shooting their Summer 2012 campaign. Shot by none other that Akila Berjaoui (who also shot me for the Pedestrian TV x Myer Miss Shop Blogger Project), with the stunning face of Aby @ Chic Model Magagement.

Dreamy lace, cool cut-outs, rockin' coloured denim (I need a pair of those pop-lemon legs - yum), wonder-stripes and playful sheer shirts - it might not be too early to start planning for the season ahead... I know I am.
