just the special ones

For a change I wasn't behind the camera on our last road trip celebrating my man's big three-oh, as a professional in the group decided to take this matter in to his own hands and work his magic. I happily stepped aside and was left to ponder with my amateur video-making skills, I learnt a lot just from watching him.

Yes, we're a special bunch of people. But we have a lot of fun.

My Own

Getting away from the city is what keeps me sane, and as you can probably see as of late that's what's been needed in my life. We have friends who have a stunning guest house in Buladelah, close to Newcastle, which will be open for business in the coming months. The tranquility and peacefulness of this space is beyond.

place like home

Over the long weekend we took the birthday boy back to 'our' house in Bermagui where we now counted our fourth year. This is a place of retreat and away from everything crazy. It was the first time in almost a year that I put my computer away for more than a day.

The man of the moment got what he wanted - 4WDing, fishing, a bit of archery, good food, great company and even home made birthday cake. Coming back from this place is never easy, but it's always nice to know it won't be long til next time.

Bermagui 2012

cheap monday jeans, coco chanel 'madmoiselle', POSSO vs. Volcom headphones, eQUIP hat,

Another weekend down the coast for a big 30th celebration, we're away the whole long weekend which means that this will be the first time in about 7 months that I'm away from a computer. I cannot WAIT for my 4am rise tomorrow (and actually not joking)

For the Melbourne Fashionopolis event hosted by the beautiful people at Nuffnang, I had the (utmost) honour of being dressed by the go-to-girls at Frockaholics.com. This Camilla and Marc 'Morrison' dress made me smile ear-to-ear, with a loose body fit and intricate detailing that everybody commented on. I felt like a bit of a super star, and I didn't mind one bit.

Teamed with the unmissable Peep Toe purple soles and my all time favourite Muuba leather jacket - yes I was slightly freezing in the Melbourne chill but it was worth every second. Thank you Nuffnang for putting on a fun event, looking forward to next year.

remember to forget

Over the weekend we packed up to find our sanity again, away from the city life. Thanks to a beautiful little getaway house courtesy of good friends, we found a sanctuary of fresh air, lazy days and horses.

The Bali Diaries

Can't say I'm glad to be back from an amazing few days in Bali, some of these images can do the talking. My first time there, but I will without a doubt be back soon. For now I'll just sleep in my Bintang singlet and wash away the remains of seasalt in my hair - til we meet again my friend.

I'm not even going to try to explain the wedding because there are no words that can ever describe the joy, beauty and grandness of that day. And only the best party ends with guest, bridal party AND the bride (yes, dress and all) - end up in the pool. What a day.
